Euphoria for Women

The Clinical Trial of Euphoria for Women™
- The Libido Enhancer

INVESTIGATION INTO THE EFFICIENCY OF AN ALL NATURAL HERBAL TRANSDERMAL FORMULA APPLIED TOPICALLY AND LOCALLY FOR THE TREATMENT OF FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION

Introduction

For years the primary focus in the pharmaceutical and natural product’s industry has been on male sexual problems. In early 2000 the Journal of the American Medical Association released a report that stated 43% of American women suffer from some form of sexual dysfunction and even more startling 25% never achieve orgasm. It’s a fact millions of women need stimulation to enhance and improve their overall sexual responsiveness and satisfaction. In her groundbreaking book “She’s Got To Have It” Dr. Betty Kamen writes, “Female sexuality has finally been recognized as an important part of a women’s health, her quality of life, and her general well-being.” The natural products industry has put on their collective thinking caps to address a problem that has been characterized by many as a silent epidemic.

The research by Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Ignarro and Ferid Murad that won the Noble Prize in medicine in 1998 for their work on nitric oxide opened many new doors in the development of new natural products for women. Clinical studies have proven that several natural substances promote the increase of nitric oxide. L-Arginine is the most studied and best understood. Nitric oxide synthase converts arginine into citrulline and nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is said to be the principal mediator of penile and clitoral erection. It causes rapid relaxation of smooth muscles in the sexual organs, allowing the thousands of tiny vessels there to swell with blood. L-Ornithine, when used together with L-Arginine, is known to enhance the nitric oxide production cycle and increase the effects.

As Dr. Kamen writes “the list of causes of discontent is surprisingly long, with the most frequently reported being decreased libido followed by vaginal dryness, pain during intercourse, declining sensation in the genitals, and difficulty or inability to achieve orgasm.” So just producing a product that addresses nitric oxide production would fall short for many women. The formula used in this study address’s many of the causes for female sexual dysfunction by using ingredients that cover a wide range of female health issues.|

Objective of the study

The study was designed to verify whether the topical application of the transdermal formula known as Euphoria for Women™ exerts an effect on:

The Product

100% natural gel/cream containing:

Active Ingredients

L-Arginine HCL - Healthy sexual function in both genders relies on a carefully orchestrated biochemical cascade. At one critical step in that pathway, nitric oxide synthase converts arginine into citrulline and nitric oxide. L-Arginine is absolutely necessary for the production of nitric oxide, which causes rapid relaxation of smooth muscles in the sexual organs, allowing the thousands of tiny vessels there to swell with blood. It is believed to be the principal mediator of penile and clitoral erection.

L-Ornithine HCL - Another amino acid that plays an important role in sexual arousal. L-Ornithine shares L-Arginine’s capability to supply nitrogen for nitric oxide production-needed for the orgasmic process. Evidence also supports the fact that arginine and ornithine work together to stimulate important hormones that play a role in achieving orgasm and enhancing libido.

T-3 Arginol Complex - 1) Velvet antler; Research has shown that velvet antler demonstrates androgenic and gonadotrophic effects, meaning that it helps to regulate the activity of the sex organs. The effects of velvet antler and velvet antler extract’s on patients with sexual disorders have been widely documented, especially by Russian clinical researchers. Velvet antler extract for treating sex problems in Russian clinics is regarded as one of the most effective known remedies for impotence. It increases libido and general sexual function, and is widely prescribed for women as well as men. Women taking velvet antler have reported heightened sexual interest, an intensity of erotic dreams, and a sense of being in touch with deeper reserves of vital energy. 2) Siberian ginseng; A tonic herb that restores the body’s balance, both physically and biochemical. It also influences the hypothalamus to modulate hormone release. Scientists believe that Siberian ginseng, which is an adaptogen, stimulates physical and mental activity while also improving the endocrine gland function and having a positive effect on sex glands. 3) Phyto-tocotrienol complex; Tocotrienols are the most potent type of vitamin E, acting as a powerful antioxidant. They also have a greater bioavailability through the skin, penetrating rapidly and efficiently. Tocotrienols also have important neuro-protective effects playing an important role in the signaling aspects of smooth muscle cells, which is essential in the orgasm-initiating process.

Gingko biloba extract - works by supplying circulation to the brain as well as extremities. By increasing mental sharpness, improving blood circulation and cognitive abilities, this in turn increases libido and increase sexual endurance. It’s also a more effective aphrodisiac for women than for men.

Aloe Vera Gel - One of the most unique plants known to man, aloe vera has been used throughout history because of its unusual medicinal qualities. Modern research has discovered substantial proof as to the powers of the “gel” in this age-old plant. Aloe vera gel is a most ingenious mixture of antibiotic, astringent coagulating agent, a pain inhibitor, and a growth stimulator, (also called a “Wound Hormone”), whose function is to soften the skin and accelerate the healing of injured surfaces.

Menthol - Derived from oil of peppermint, It act’s directly on the blood vessel muscles increasing circulation, and stimulates the skin sensors on the clitoris and vulva directly. The increased sensitivity improves natural lubrication and arousal. Menthol will always work as a vasodilator assuring maximum absorption of transdermal nutrients

Participants

The study was conducted with 20 women between the ages of 26 - 59 with no exclusionary criteria to allow for a wide sampling of the general populace.

Treatment

The course of the study was for eight weeks with a consultation at the mid-point. The patients were instructed to apply approximately 1/16 to 1/8 teaspoon of gel/cream either by themselves or with a partner, and massage it in for 1-3 minutes or until completely absorbed.

Results

The study was conducted on 20 patients between the ages of 26 - 59. The results show that the gel/cream had a positive effect in one or more of the target categories for each participant.

Diagnosis of Results

All of the participants achieved positive results in most categories. A breakdown of the individual categories is as follows:

Effects on Libido/Desire

The participants reported after using the gel/cream; 70% of the women reported an increase in libido after using the gel/cream, 30% of the women had no change in their libidos and no one experienced a decrease in libido or desire.

Discussion

The scope of this small study was limited to the evaluation of the effects presented in the objectives. This was done in part to determine if further investigation on a larger scale would be warranted.

There was no formal assessment of other possible benefits or negative responses although in follow up questioning it was asked if there were any negative side effects or comments. Outside of a few women not being satisfied with the results the overall experience was positive.

The participants in conversations raised the issue of desire/libido and many said it was a lifestyle problem more than a lack of desire. This should be addressed in a more controlled, longer-term study with a specific focus on this subject.

There were no reports of adverse or negative reactions. Several subjects reported improved enjoyment of the overall sexual experience due to an increase in attention, foreplay and better lubrication! Some women said they felt the increase in overall enjoyment was due in part to the focus on her and her overall pleasure.
